How to ask for Google reviews on WhatsApp
If you already talk to your customers on WhatsApp about appointments, bookings or orders, it is the most natural channel for asking them for a review. The key is to send it at the right moment, with the direct link and in a single sentence.
Get the direct link to your review form
From your Google Business Profile you can copy the link for requesting reviews: when the customer opens it, they go straight to writing theirs without having to find your listing. Save it as a quick reply in WhatsApp Business so it is always to hand.
When to send it
- The same day as the service or the day after, while the memory is fresh.
- After the customer has thanked you or told you everything went well.
- Only once: if they do not respond, do not insist.
Example messages
- “Thanks for coming in today, Marta! If you enjoyed it, a Google review would really help us: [link]. Take care!”
- “We're glad the car turned out well. If you have a minute, would you leave us your opinion on Google? [link]”
- “Thank you for trusting us. Your review helps other customers find us: [link]”
What you should not do
- Offering discounts or gifts in exchange for the review: it is against Google's rules.
- Asking only people you know will give 5 stars.
- Sending the message to your whole contact list at once.
- Writing the text of the review yourself so the customer only has to paste it.
