How to get more Google reviews
Many happy customers never leave a review simply because nobody asks them or because they do not know where to do it. Making it easy makes all the difference.
Ask for the review at the right moment
The best moment is just as the customer leaves happy: when paying, at the end of a treatment or at check-out. One sentence is enough: “If you enjoyed it, a Google review really helps us.”
Use the direct link and a QR code
Google provides a link that opens the review form for your listing directly. Turned into a QR code, you can put it on the counter, on the bill, on the menu or on a card.
What you should not do
- Offering discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews: it is against Google's rules.
- Asking for reviews only from people you know will give 5 stars (review gating).
- Writing fake reviews or asking relatives and employees to write them.
- Asking for lots of reviews all at once on a single day.
Reply to the ones that come in
When customers see that the business replies, they are more inclined to write. And new reviews are the best source for finding out what is working.
