Review management for garages and car repair shops

Choosing a garage is a matter of trust, and most drivers look at Google reviews before leaving their car. A garage with recent reviews and replies comes across as reliable.

What garage customers value

  • A clear quote that is kept to.
  • Delivery dates that are respected.
  • Being told what was done and why.
  • Honesty and good service: not replacing parts that do not need replacing.
  • The price compared with other garages.

How to reply to complaints about price or timing

Explain in one sentence what happened (a part that took a long time to arrive, a fault that appeared once things were taken apart) without getting technical, and offer to discuss it privately. Do not argue about the quote in public.

“They told me two days and they had the car for a week.”
Example replyYou're right and we're sorry: the part took longer than expected and we should have let you know sooner. We have changed how we warn customers about delays. If you'd like to talk it over, give us a call. — The garage
“Honest and quick. They explained everything before touching anything.”
Example replyThank you! For us it is essential that you know what is going to be done to your car before we start. We're here for your next service. — The garage

When to ask for the review

When you hand the car back and the customer sees that everything is fine. A QR code on the counter or a message the next day both work very well.
